Meaning Through Movement

Sarah first showed a creative spark from a young age, creating dances on her peers for recreational summer shows. She continued to hone those instincts throughout her college years, graduating through the dance department’s choreography concentration track at Mercyhurst University. Sarah’s choreographic style blurs lines between classical and contemporary, pulling different influences from her experiences working in ballet, contemporary dance, and musical theater environments. Her choreography credits include works for New England Ballet Theatre (CT), Lake Erie Ballet, Erie Festival of Dance, New England Ballet Collective, Mercyhurst Ballet Theatre, American College Dance Festival, NTL Night Of showcases in New York, and contemporary solos performed at Youth American Grand Prix. Sarah also loves to collaborate - for her most recent commission with NEBT, she collaborated with CT Poet Antoinette Brim-Bell for creation of her piece, and she has previously collaborated with visual artists as well as other choreographers.
